Need time.

The last few days have been relatively relaxing. I did not have to go to work on Saturday but my boss had forgotten to call me and tell me that I did not have to work that day. Oh well. Sunday I just relaxed and me and mom went to Balboa to take some pictures. I think I had a mini breakdown because I have been so busy for the past few weeks I have had no time to rest and do the things I want to do. Hopefully this week me and mom goes out to do some more photo sessions.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Sorry for not being as consistent I am here to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Today turned out to be a wonderful Christmas day. This morning we opened presents where I received a new camera. It is a Canon Rebel XS. I love it! Later I went, along with my mom, sister, and dad, to Jeanine's mother's house to have Christmas dinner with them! Such fun! Back to normal tomorrow unfortunately. Hopefully there will be fun times before I go back to school for the Spring semester at Saddleback College. See you all later!

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been around as much. I have just been so busy with school that the only time I go on the computer now adays to look up stuff for school. Right now unfortunately I have a cold and so does Mom. She does not feel well at all. I now also have a facebook page. I just like this current picture because it depicts how I feel right now. Art Nouveau and Photos.

Hey everyone, Sorry I haven't been as consistent, but here I go. Yesterday, I went with my Mom, Marissa, and Janean to LA to take photographs. We found this place near Downtown LA named Heritage Square. The houses were absolutely beautiful. Eventually, I will put up pictures of what I captured there. Unfortunately the pictures are still inside my camera and my battery decided to run out in my battery. Plus, I have been working on my blazer. I love it so far. I'm just having trouble with the sleeve. The sleeves look like an absolute mess! Oh, well I'll fix that today at sewing. Well that's been my life lately. See you next time.

The Eve to Halloween

Hey everyone, tomorrow is Halloween! Unfortunately I am working but at least I get to see all the kids in their costumes. I love to see the babies with their parents and what their parents dress them up as.
I thought this picture was perfect for Halloween because it is creepy and weird. But I like the picture. Yesterday in French class I got back a quiz that I had taken last tuesday or thursday and I receivedan A- on it. Lately I have not been getting good grades, so it was nice to receive a better grade than a D. I have also been working on my pictures. So that's pretty much what I have been doing.

Again I have been super busy. But anyway, I saw these photos of Siri Tollerod and I loved the perspective that was used in this editorial. The use of flowers as a border, so your eye goes to the model and not somewhere else.

Also, my mind has been bothering me of late. I feel a little vulnerable right now. But I know God is there to protect me. Well that's it for today. I also started a new garment at sewing class yesterday. Yay! Finally.

Back from Sequoia and School

I thoroughly enjoyed being up in Northern California and seeing all the pretty Fall foliage. Unfortunately when we came home Sunday that was the last day that Dad was going to be in Las Vegas. Monday he came home and last night Dad blew up at Mom because one of his sodas was not cold. When that was going on, I went outside to not hear the arguing that was going on between my mom and dad. I did not want to hear it anymore.
While we were up in Fresno and Sequoia, I took some beautiful photos of trees, winding roads, and when we went through the coastal areas of California where we stopped by Meridian winery. I took some pictures while there which I have posted on my blog. I hope it comes up. Of course going through central California is always interesting because it is so unlike the rest of Calfornia. It is more like being in the Mid-West than the West coast with cows, orchards, fields of different varieties of vegetables and other types of food. Also it was nice and cool while we were up there. I had a great time.

Fresno and Examination

This weekend I will be up in Fresno, so I won't be checking in until Monday. But yesterday was so nice. I stayed home, did home work, and just relaxed. The only time I went out was to go to Joanne's to get material for class on Monday. I will be making a blazer. I am looking forward to making it. Hopefully it will turn out better than the dress did. The dress was the best garment I have made, but I looked fat in it.
Today I also have a final exam for my photography class. I am not nervous about it thank goodness like I usually am with my French examinations. Well that's it for today. See you Monday.

Relax

Today I will start packing for Fresno and I get to relax and stay home. I have things to do like homework but today is my day off. Yay!!! Plus, I got through another French exam last night. Unfortunately the quiz that we had last week I got a D on. Oh well. That's it for today, bye.

Hello everyone!
I know I haven't been checking in as often I just loads of school work and my life in general. I tried to upload an image of a recent set that I had made on to here but it does not show up. Ugh!!! Oh well. But it centers on this image to the right with the model I think it's Anna Selezneva. I love the military look that Balmain cooked up with this one.
I finished my garment and it fits perfect in it but I look over weight in it. I have also been working out lately so I don't feel as overweight as I am. I just need to be consistent with it. Thank goodness I have Dez and Mom to keep me accountable and God also.
Also it's grey and cloudy with rain here in California. Which is a nice change and its not hot anymore. Yay!!!!

Yay! It's October!

I am so glad it's October finally maybe the weather will cooperate and be cool instead of hot. Well anyway, lately I have been watching a lot of haunted things and working on hand sewing things for my sewing class. I have been thinking about what I want to do as a career and I was thinking of costume design. I love making clothes, I just want to do those really complex ones that comes from another time period. That would be so much fun. I want to make a corset and a period gown like from the 18th or 19th centuries. Or even a fantasy kind of garment.

Well, I have been very busy and that is why I have not been checking in as much. Hopefully I will be more consistent with my check-ins. Oh well. See you later.

Me and My Sister

Hello, this is me on the left and my sister on the right. We are twins, and we got these done around our 21st birthday. This is my favorite one!
Well yesterday I went to a fashion show at Irvine Spectrum. It was so much fun! I have only really watched runway shows on style.com and this was so much fun to be there in real life. I kept feeling like I wanted to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I went with a friend who I have not seen in ages, so it was nice to meet up with her.
Tomorrow is back to school for me and hopefully I can start sewing my garment instead of endlessly trying to fit it. But I am enjoying the experience of learning. I love the process of putting together a garment. I am artistic and analytical. I am also a perfectionist. That is a blessing and curse. I'll see you later! Bye!

French Quiz Tonight, Eek!

Tonight, I have a French quiz and I am a little nervous about it. Last time I was nervous about the oral presentation now I am a little worried about the written part and not really that worried about the oral part. Yesterday I also had to work which was a nice surprise. I worked on Monday night, but before that I had not been working for two whole weeks. Well that's it for today.

Sorry that I have not been blogging lately. I have been very busy with school. I am taking a class where I have to take pictures on my digital camera. The picture to the left is one picture I took when the sun was setting. I love the colors and the way the colors are reflected off the sun's rays. I could look at this picture forever.

Plus, I have been following up on fashion week which is now in London. So far my favorite fashion designers collections are Antonio Berardi, Vivienne Westwood's Red Label, and Matthew Williamson. I just love British designer's creativity and ingenuity. Oh yeah I also love Temperley London's collection in spring. It reminds of the circus. My most recent set on Polyvore has that kind of theme to it.

Well, today I will be taking photos at the beach. The last photo assignment that my teacher made I had a really hard time with because the inspiration was just not there. But since this is landscape I have loads of inspiration to work with. Well that's it for today. See you later.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2010 RTW

I think this is some of the photos for this season. I am not sure. Well anyway, this collection is by Vivienne Tam, one of my favorite fashion designers. Love her floral, girly, bohemian style. Other designers I liked this season were ADAM, Richard Chai, Altuzarra, Carlos Miele, Diane von Furstenberg, Reem Acra, L.A.M.B., Luca Luca, Monique Lhuillier, Ports 1961, and Rachel Comey. I loved them because they were all that I described above in the Vivienne Tam but some of them were rock chic like for example L.A.M.B. which is carried over from Fall 2009. I like that style also, but my favorite is this season always. Other than this, I went to school for sewing class and learned how to alter a pattern to fit my size. I do not have a supermodels body (thank goodness). Plus, today was cooler than the previous days. Well I'll see you later.

Frustrated and Fashion Week

Yesterday, I went job hunting and so far it's been ok. We went to Irvine Spectrum and I picked up several applications from there including some from H+M and Anthropologie. I think that the one with Anthropologie will turn out better because they were looking for people. Plus, I did more sewing on my sister's shirt. It looks pretty good actually. I hope I can keep it that way. Plus, I did some homework.

Mom was being controlling again with my job hunt. Also, last night she said, "I get this feeling that you don't want a job." That made me frustrated because I do want a job, I am just not like her. This morning she said she was sorry that she said that. She's still my mom and she's just worried about me. Well it's sunday and tomorrow is back to school. I'll see you later. Oh yeah plus it is fashion week. Yay! I am trying to keep up on that. Plus, I'll try to put up some of my favorite looks. See you later!

Busy and Tired

I have been very busy lately with school and just life in general. Monday, I went to a bbq at a friend's house and that was fun. Since I am now 21, the thought of I could have a drink was just novel. Tuesday was back to school and I had a french assessment quiz that day. It included a dialogue which I was nervous about I evidently did pretty well.

Also, I did some shopping and got this book called "ID's favorite Fashion Designers.' I love it because it tells the stories of how these designers started, and that helps me figure out how to get started for myself. I started back on my sister's shirt. I decided to skip the drawstrings because they were basically ruined after playing with for so long. I will just add something else that is pre-made to take the place of the drawstring.

Today, is photography class and we get to see a slideshow of pictures that people have taken for the first project. That includes me and my moms. I am looking forward to that. Plus, I am a little tired. Oh, before I go, I have decided that I am going to quit Hallmark and look for another job that gives me more hours. I pray to God that that will be done. 21st Birthday!!!!

It's my 21st Birthday! Yay!!! Sorry I have not blogged for a while. The past few days have been good and I heard from several friends that I have not heard from in a while calle me. It was nice hearing from them and seeing how everything is going. Today I am just going to relax and have fun and just enjoy my birthday. So I will see you next time.

Down Day

Yesterday was a much better day emotionally than monday. In French class, I receieved an assignment that states that I have to do a discussion in French with a partner. At first I thought we had to do it this Thursday, but then realized that it is next Tuesday, so I have time to practice it. Well today is a down day for me. My bath is leaking so Gary our handyman might come today. I don't know.

Going with the Flow

Yesterday, I felt for some odd reason very anxious. I don't know why I felt that way. Oh well. I was just going through the motions and doing things that I need to do. I told mom about my idea about giving my two weeks notice at work. I'm ready to move on and focus on school right now. Today it is French and I need to think about how to plan the lab that goes with it. Because I thought I could do it only one day a week, but I was looking at the syllabus and I think I might have to do it more than one time a week because of whenever the assessment days are. Also it's very humid and hot because there is a hurricane coming up from Baja California. It will probably be more like a thunderstorm when it gets here hopefully. Well I'll see you tomorrow.

Yesterday, I went photographing and this one of the photos I took. I like this one because of the trees shapes and the road. These type of pictures have always inspired me.

Well today it's back to school and I have to work tonight. Looking forward to the school part just not the work part. I'm usually standing at the cash register or cleaning and bored out of my mind. Oh well, that's it for today.

It's been nice to just relax before the second week of the fall semester commences. There has been some drama over the weekend like this one part of a garment I am making for my sister is driving crazy. But other than that it has been good. Friday, I was so dead tired, I did not go to Celebrate Recovery and yesterday I went out and got supplies at Joanne's for my sewing class. I also did some homework and watched some tv. Plus, while I was on youtube I found this new band called the Ropes with a song called 'Clubs in Europe Forever.' I love it. Very artsy reminds me of the Ting Tings.

Yesterday, I went to another first day of class at school which was photography. Mom went with me and I liked the teacher. He was funny and around my age probably about ten years older though. Plus, at french class I got to know more people, and catch up with people who were in other classes of mine in previous semesters.

Also there are horrible wildfires blazing in Palos Verdes and my parents were worrying about the properties there especially my dad. He always seems to worry about everything. Oh well, today I plan to drop off some applications to potential job places.

I haven't finished my sister's shirt because I need to get a certain utensil that will turn the drawstrings inside out. Well that's it for today.

The last few days I have been at school. Monday, I went to school for my sewing class. Yesterday I went to school for my French class. That was so much fun. I learned some new words such 'entrez', 'sortez', and 'frappez a la porte'. These three mean 'enter', 'leave!', and 'knock on the door'. I am looking forward to this.

Yesterday I finished a tote bag for one of my mom's friends, and while I was finishing the bag, my dad kept calling me to come look at something on the television. It was a documentary about Napoleon Bonaparte and his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo. I love that time period, but I was trying to finish something. Oh well, that was yesterday. Tomorrow I start the Fall semester for college at Saddleback College and I am looking forward to taking a sewing class and learning French. Today I am going to meet up with a friend and we are going to walk on trails around my house, so I can get some exercise in. Plus, I plan on working on making a shirt for my sister. Right now I am working from patterns but some day I want to make my own kind. Which I will eventually. August 23, 2009

Hello, Welcome!

For months I have been wanting to start my own blog. Now, ever since I saw the movie 'Julie/Julia', I was like "I am going to do this!" Well here I am! This blog will be fashion, art, music, photography, and whatever sounds fascinating. For example, I am absolutely obsessed with the new wave band The Smiths.
